{"id":9231,"date":"2021-09-09T18:04:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-09T16:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.martin-fleischer.com\/?p=9231"},"modified":"2023-06-02T17:57:54","modified_gmt":"2023-06-02T15:57:54","slug":"project-gofar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.martin-fleischer.com\/en\/consultancies\/project-gofar\/","title":{"rendered":"Project \u00abgoFAR\u00bb"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The project <em>\u00ab<\/em><strong><em>goFAR<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00bb<\/em> is a management innovation initiative, conceived and executed on behalf of a family-run business producing nets (<em><strong>FAR<\/strong> <\/em>stands for <em><strong>F<\/strong>abbrica <strong>A<\/strong>rtigianale di <strong>R<\/strong>eti<\/em>, the company name giving rise to the project&#8217;s playful acronym).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project arose from the strong need to optimise and internationalise the web presence of the artisan company (with no less than <strong>75 years of history<\/strong>), including e-commerce, website and social network campaigns. In order to efficiently set up these <strong><em>\u00abvirtual showcases\u00bb<\/em><\/strong> it was deemed appropriate to standardise data entry, because on the one hand only the common provenance of the data used for the drafting of offers\/listings, the production of catalogues, the compilation of website, social network and e-commerce content guarantees their homogeneity; on the other hand, multiple data entry proved to be unnecessarily burdensome and at high risk of operator error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The work plan envisaged two important steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><em>\u00abdata mining\u00bb<\/em><\/strong> phase, understood as the retrieval, review, structuring and cleaning of all available data and information on products marketed by the company. The duration of this phase was approximately one year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u00ab<strong><em>set-up of management software<\/em><\/strong>\u00bb for the administration and maintenance of the database created during the \u00abdata mining\u00bb phase. This involved customising the <em>\u00ab<\/em><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.martin-fleischer.com\/en\/consultancies\/create\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CREATE<\/a><\/em><\/strong><em>\u00bb<\/em> platform, which had already been tried and tested and proved to be stable, and which allows the entire article database to be synchronised with the website and e-shop via <strong>API<\/strong><em>s<\/em> (<strong>A<\/strong>pplication <strong>P<\/strong>rogramming <strong>I<\/strong>nterface<em>s<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The project \u00abgoFAR\u00bb is a management innovation initiative, conceived and executed on behalf of a family-run business producing nets (FAR stands for Fabbrica Artigianale di Reti, the company name giving rise to the project&#8217;s playful acronym).
