The «goFARbot»

With the completion of the «goFAR» project and after the transfer of all data to the «CREATE» platform, which allows the entire article database to be synchronised with the company website and e-shop via special APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), it seemed appropriate to carry out a further external check on the consistency of the synchronised data.

The «goFARbot», VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) script on an EXCEL platform:

  1. downloads the entire content of the database contained in «CREATE» via an XML protocol
  2. scans all the URLs contained therein (more than 700 articles in 4 languages on the website and several hundred articles on the e-shop for a total of more than 3,000 URLs), retrieving data such as article codes and/or prices and comparing them with the contents of «CREATE» itself
